Policies

Radisson Elementary is a kindergarten to Grade 5 school, which offers an academic program as prescribed by Manitoba Education – language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, music, art, physical education, health and French are an integral part of the program. Students have an opportunity to be members of our school choir, to participate in extracurricular activities and sports programs, and to serve as student leaders.

Our facilities are shared by our neighboring school, Transcona Collegiate, as they have drama classes in our open area and family life programs in room 14.

Radisson School is a “socially responsible community” that focuses on creating a positive, respectful environment that values everyone and fosters both learning and responsibility.

Student Pick Up

If students leave during the school day, it is expected that the guardian will use the “Sign Out” binder, at the office.

Parents who wish to make special arrangements for their child (ren) to be picked up at school, such as having a relative pick them up, MUST SEND A NOTE OUTLINING THE ARRANGEMENTS.

To alleviate hallway congestion at the end of the day we are asking anyone picking up students to wait in the foyer.  Teachers (K-3) will walk their students to the foyer to be dismissed.  By doing this we also reduce the chances of those we do not know from entering our building and walking through our school.
