ÌÇÐÄVlog Teams Compete in Dragon Boat Challenge

On June 1st, five ÌÇÐÄVlog schools took part in the Manitoba School Dragon Boat Challenge and it was an exciting event, with the dragon boat drums pounding and crowds cheering on their favourite teams.

This annual event started in 1990 and has grown to be the largest school dragon boat event in Canada. It takes place at the Manitoba Canoe and Kayak Centre in the Riverview area of the city and it’s open to schools across the province.

This year, 50 middle and senior years teams took part in the races, including three from Collège Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau, one from École Munroe Middle School, three from École Regent Park, one from Murdoch MacKay Collegiate, and two from River East Collegiate.
